Passion.

Growing up, we were frequently asked what we want to be when we grow up. Looking back, I realized how silly I was as a kid. It started when I wanted to become a cashier- pressing the cash register and giving out change seemed so much fun when I was young. Then, I changed my mind that I wanted to become a teacher. I was so engaged in school when I was younger, that I love going to school every day. (What happened now? Haha!) I also thought about being a flight attendant but I don't have the height for it. When I was already in high school, I knew what I wanted to become, what I can see myself doing for the rest of my life, and it's to become a Chef.

I wasn't given the chance to be in a culinary school right when i graduated high school 5 years ago since my dad didn't allow me to. Instead, he enrolled me in a nursing school. He always wanted me to become a doctor- probably to fulfill his dream to become one. To cut the story short, it is only after 5 long years that he finally allowed me to take up culinary arts. Now, I'm currently taking up Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management Major in Culinary Arts in Enderun Colleges, McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. After almost a year of being in this school, I've learned so many things about being in this industry- Food&Bev.

Currently, I am enrolled in CA202-ADF class, which is Basic French. Some techniques are hard that you need to practice and practice and practice until you get the hang of it. The class meets twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays. Kitchen Demo starts from 10am until 1pm, and the Kitchen Lab starts from 1pm down to 4pm. First, we have to watch and pay attention to Chef Marc as he demonstrates the techniques needed for the day. Each class meeting, there are a number of dishes assigned. My favorite part is tasting the finished product, and keeping in mind the flavors. Then we transfer to the kitchen where we are paired up, and have to work as a team. Lab could be so much tiring but at the end of the day, I love what I'm doing so I can't complain.

P.S Sometimes I take home what I cooked since it's so good.

Here are some of the dishes I have cooked already:

Stew of Small Squid with Corail sauce.

Crab Bisque with homemade croutons.

Gaspacho.

Roasted Chicken with glazed red onions and potatoes.

Pork Chop with sauce Charcutiere and mashed potatoes.

Gratinated Oysters with Sabayon.

Stuffed Shellfish.

Watch out for rore posts about the dishes I'll be cooking.
Bon Appétit!

Sunnies.

So lately, I've been using the same sunnies since the time I purchased them from the store. They're my MANGO sunnies which I love so much. If you guys don't know, I'm a sucker for sunnies. Everywhere I go, and no matter what the weather is, it's part of my outfit. I can't go out of the house without it. The one thing that I look for before buying one, they have to be super dark that my eyes can't be seen. :)

So here's just a few pictures of me wearing my new fave sunnies from Mango:

Driving to school with the sunnies on! :*

Have a bright sunny day guys!

Hearts of a Champion.

Last Sunday, August 26, 2012, marked the biggest accomplishment (so far) of the Enderun Titans Women's Futsal team. The Philippine Futsal Cup Winners Cup Taguig Leg was held in the Multipurpose Covered Court of Enderun Colleges. Futsal enthusiasts, together with their supporters and friends, gathered as they fight over the title as Champions of this prestigious tournament.

The day started out slow. At 9am, the games of men's division started. The men's team of Enderun did not make it to the semifinals as they lost to a penalty shoot out. On the other hand, the women's team, which I'm very proud of being a part of, won all the elimination games. We went against Ateneo, Los Burrachos, Futsalistas, Cortexiphan FC. Enderun students, specifically the PE students of our Coach, Eric Galang were there to support us. I've never had such huge crowd cheering for the team- it felt so good. We beat the Los Burrachos in the final to a penalty shoot out. It was so intense and nerve-wrecking when it comes down to shoot outs. It's anyone's game. The feeling was indescribable the moment we learned we won the title. I was such a great accomplishment for us, after just being together under 1 year, to have won the tournament. The icing on the cake? We're in the nationals in Bicol. Sweet!

On the side note, here's what I posted on my facebook page.

"I STILL CAN'T GET OVER THE FACT THAT WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THE PHILIPPINE FUTSAL CUP WINNERS CUP-TAGUIG LEG. NATIONALS, HERE WE GO!!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

I would just like to extend my love and gratitude to all those who came to watch, support, cheer, scream and go all out crazy for us-- yall know who you are. I am so overwhelmed seeing and hearing everyone earlier; although, I know you were tired waiting
for the games to start.

To my teammates, I love you ♥ We're better, stronger, closer as ever. Thank you to, Coach Eric. You never fail to give up on us. In return, you deserve all our dedication, faith, trust, loyalty and everything else.

CHEERS TO A GOOD YEAR FOR US! Too blessed, Thank you, Lord! :*
 "

No words can express how grateful I am to everyone who was there (you know who you are).

Right after we won the penalty shoot-out. No words can describe such happiness painted on our faces.
My epic face. hahaha!
Here's the team with their Pilipinas Futsal jerseys- in pink!
Organize guys. haha!

In the end, the size of a person's accomplishment can best be measured by the size of their heart. :)

From L-R Upper: Dominika Miranda, Andrea Rosales, Nina Raven, Katrice Delos Reyes, Patch Bautista, Gabbi Ramos, Coach Eric Galang
From L-R Bottom: Cielai Garcia, Monique Caparros, Julienne Logarta, Mae Salmon and Lora Ledesma

We made a mark on the Philippine Futsal world. :) and that, no one can take this away from us.

To more championships!

The Classic LBD.

I love weekends. Not only because we get to have 2 days off of school, but also we get to relax, enjoy, reunite, have fun with friends. I spend my weekends in different ways. Sometimes I spend it staying in the house to catch up with sleep. Sometimes, I spend it in a friend's house to sleepover. Other times, I spend it out of town, going to the beach or something like that. Last weekend, I spent it partying in bars. Friday night, went to Eden. Saturday night, Relik for Brian's birthday. What I love most about going to these places is that I get to dress up and look all fancy, which I don't do everyday to keep the 'mystery'. People are in awe that there's another side of me outside the typical school girl look.

On what I wore.. The Classic Little Black Dress.
You could never go wrong in an LBD. It's classic, and goes with anything. You could wear it from time to time with different accessories and shoes. Also, it's perfect for any occasion. So when you don't know what to wear on nights out like these, you could trust your LBD to save your life!

Anyway, these are the pictures Saturday night.

Thanks mom for the precious heart diamond necklace.
Confidence is a stain they can't wipe off.
The little black dress. Thank you Promod :)

With Mr. Jake Tagaro in Relik.
This is a post-party picture- with my food of course. :)
Thank you to Payless for my printed/colorful wedges.

Givenchy: Mini Pandora.

WONDER WHAT DROVE ME TO PURCHASE THIS PURSE?

For the past 22 years of my existence here on Earth, this was the first time I was so persistent, and passionate about getting this ADORABLE, GORGEOUS, HIP purse, especially that it is branded and comes with a price. I have been the type of person who doesn't go crazy on LVs, Pradas, Chanels, and the like, unlike most girls out there that I know. I usually choose reasonable-priced purses so I could get more. Plus, I don't really use them repeatedly everyday. I like to have choices.

People know me to only wear 'sling' purses since I hate bringing huge ones (I only bring my phones, wallet and car keys with me). It's very convenient, hip, and chill/laid-back style. I wear it daily- to school, mall, night outs, everywhere. I couldn't possibly count how many sling bags I own. But when the Mini Pandora of Givenchy was born, I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I've been looking for this particular purse: The Blue Sheepskin Mini Pandora. In case you guys don't know, the Pandora comes in different sizes and COLORS. I was attracted to the medium-sized one at first, but when I saw it's baby, I fell in love. It was a sign I had to get it. After months of searching, I saw this online (facebook) from Designer Shop Manila, owned by Miss Denise So. She's a lifesaver- an angel sent from heaven. :) So, I purchased it right away, and now I OWN IT.

More on the Mini Pandora...
It's mini size, the sling, and the color that attracted me. This purse is deceiving as well. It looks so small but could fit in a lot of stuff. It has two compartments- front and back zipper. The front zipper is best for phones or keys; while the back zipper could hold tons of stuff like wallet, chargers, makeup kits (although I don't carry one with me), and a whole lot more.

I have this feeling that I'm gonna 'abandon' my other sling bags for a period of time since I'll be using this most of the time. Take note: I only choose when and where to bring this. It's too precious, I think I'm gonna die if something happens to it. (Overacting, lol)

Thank you to Denise again for giving this to me :) And most especially to my parents. They didn't hesitate to get this for me at all. xoxo

Baby boy.

Last Saturday, my baby boy visited me here in Manila. It was the long weekend, so the whole fam bam flew in from Cebu. I miss this boy so much- I was too happy to see him. :) Ultimate love of my life.

They came from Enchanted Kingdom that day, and met up with them in Greenbelt to have dinner in Sentro. Took us a while to be seated since there were 20 of us. (Yes, that many! haha) We were chatting the whole time, not really minding if we were too loud. It felt so good to catch up with everyone since I can't remember the last time I went home to Cebu, and had a family dinner.

They stayed still Monday, but wasn't able to go around with them since I went to Tagaytay and Batangas with my friends.

Took this shot in the basement parking of Greenbelt 5. Don't grow up too fast baby.

My baby with his tired face. :D

There's no set date yet when I'm going back to Cebu since we have games every weekend until November for the Philippine Futsal League which starts next week.
